Turned Leg Dining Table
Looking for a turned leg farmhouse table? Whether your style is traditional, rustic, modern farmhouse, or something else entirely… these classic turned leg dining tables make a perfect gathering place in any kitchen or dining room.
As often is the case, a personal quest for something I would love to have in my home has turned into a (hopefully useful) resource for you! This time? Our family of six has outgrown our kitchen table (which is actually a desk that I made with my dad before I left for college and then refinished the top a few years ago).
While I love so many things about it (not the least of which is the sentimental value it holds!), we simply need more leg room. The angled wrought iron legs are not conducive to a lot of seating. So the quest for a new kitchen table began…
I love the look of classic turned legs. While I wouldn't characterize my style as farmhouse overall, I think a "farmhouse table" is about the most perfect thing for any kitchen. It evokes such a sense of togetherness, and while the turned legs are pretty to look at, their location at the outer corners of the big table also makes them very practical for seating a larger crowd. So today I thought I'd share with you some of my favorites. I've grouped them in some categories that I hope might be useful to you.

Small Farmhouse Tables
It's true that the quintessential farmhouse table is large, but you can still get the same look in a smaller space with these options. Perfect for a breakfast nook or a smaller family, these could read completely rustic or be combined with some more modern chairs for an eclectic look.

Two-toned Farmhouse Tables
One of the most popular looks in these days of DIY furniture makeovers, two-toned tables can bring the warmth of a wooden top while offering an updated feel. If you've seen my dining room, you know I think two-toned tables are a great option. 😉

All Wood Turned Leg Tables
All wood tables can sometimes read pretty traditional, but a good-quality table with the right accessories is timeless. Here are a few in varying wood tones, including some really fun and chunky legs (side note: babies and tables only… all other "chunky leg" comments must be kept to oneself).

I gathered the rest of these because each stood out to me as a bit different than your run-of-the-mill turned leg table. There's a concrete top (I absolutely love this one, by the way!), a two-toned with rather dramatic legs, and even an all-white one (which normally wouldn't sound interesting to me, but this one is simply beautiful).

I love how many options there are: large, small, extendable, two-toned, classic, modern… Which is your favorite?
